Legal Support Assistant

Job Function Support fast-paced litigation matters (ex. antitrust, patent infringement, breach of contract, employment) in a dynamic and rapidly changing environment with frequently changing priorities. Positive self-starter must be able to professionally and competently assist with discovery-related projects and administration while interacting with internal business personnel and outside counsel; receive direction and take initiative to handle ongoing administrative tasks throughout the lifecycle of a case, including, but not limited to, eRoom administration, meeting scheduling, indexing, file and document organization, preparing documents for imaging, organizing and maintaining case management reports, entering accurate/complete database records and executing queries to perform legal-related research, and administrative matter closeout activities.
Skills/Experience At least 1 year of Legal experience required. Bright, cheerful, motivated, flexible individual with a keen attention to detail who is looking for a challenge to excel by learning new skills, software tools and processes; engaged self-starter who exercises sound judgment, employs critical thinking skills, asks thoughtful questions and follows through consistently on assignments while working independently or as part of a team; able to interact appropriately with legal and business personnel; strong organization and verbal and written communication skills required.
Responsibilities Practical experience with Microsoft Office suite required. Prior database experience preferred. Mac experience helpful.
Education Requirements Bachelor's degree and at least 1 year of legal experience required.
