Legal Counsel
at MobileOne in Singapore - Singapore
Job Responsibilities
You will be an integral member of the legal-eagle team and provide legal, corporate, commercial and secretarial support for the Company and its group of entities. This includes, without limitation, drafting and negotiation of several types of commercial contracts including corporate transactions, joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, and infrastructure or IP type contracts. You will also work with your colleagues to advise on litigation claims. An ‘outsource’ mentality is not ideal for this role.
Requirements
A good LLB (Hon) degree from a reputable university (local or foreign) with at least 5 to 6 years' experience as a lawyer in private practice in law firms specializing in corporate work, or as in-house legal counsel. Candidates with longer experience may also be considered.
Called to the Singapore Bar or ICSA qualified, with experience on company secretarial matters (with private or listed corporations). As you may be called upon to be the key company secretary for the Company, familiarity with board/board committee functions is a strong advantage.
Strong drafting skills, excellent communication abilities and commercial savvy is a given, without exception.
Ability to think ‘out of the box’ with a challenger mindset.
Must be able to work independently, take responsibility for work and be self-driven whilst retaining a cheery disposition.
