full time Accounting Associate

Position Description:
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform accounts payable accounting function including receiving and matching invoices, verification of account coding, preparation of disbursements and accounts payable related recordkeeping.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
? Receive, scan, attach documentation, and process general vendor invoices and internal check
requests.
? Process more advanced invoices, to include verification and matching for quantity, unit pricing,
extensions and applicable discounts.
? Assure accuracy of coding to proper General Ledger accounts, Report Centers, and applicable taxes.
? Verify and process electronic employee expense reports.
? Process payments by check, ACH, and wire.
? Verify and maintain accounts payable registers, open/aging reports, disbursement reports and
journals.
? Receive and answer phone calls from vendors or other departments.
? Resolve electronically filed trouble tickets.
? Perform other accounting duties as requested by managing supervisor.

Qualifications Required:
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Must have a high school diploma or recognized equivalent. Some college or business training preferred. One year relevant work experience preferred. Must possess good computer, communication, interpersonal, and reading skills, basic math ability and excellent phone voice and manner.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS /WORKING CONDITIONS:
Must be able to sit for long periods of time and use computer keyboard and/or mouse, while viewing computer screen.
