full time Public Sector Major Account Manager

Job Description As a Sprint Major Account Manager (MAM) you will be responsible for growing, "upselling" and maintaining Public Sector business accounts as well as accruing new accounts. The primary role of this position is to increase a revenue generating sales pipeline, which will consist of state and local government agencies, as well as healthcare, education, and utilities entities. You will be responsible for working with all distribution channels which consist of direct sales, indirect sales, retail sales and a business solutions partner group) You will work within a team environment and partner with the sales and solutions engineering teams to maintain and grow Public Sector/ Government (i.e. public safety) accounts. This is a quota based position and you will work towards achieving all sales and revenue metrics. Through solutions based selling and account management, you will analyze customer needs, identify and customize wireless/voice/data products and services. You must have a workable understanding of multi-million dollar contract negotiations and RFP response as well as applicable legal requirements. You will work side by side with executive level decision makers as a professional consultant to analyze wireless business needs and make recommendations on solutions that will benefit the customer.

Preferred qualifications include:
• College degree.
• A combination of education and related work experience totaling 7 years post high school

This position can be located in Austin, TX or San Antonio, TX.
Basic qualifications include: • Selected candidate must have valid drivers' license and an acceptable driving history based on Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
• Customer relationship management experience on a Government/ Public Sector level. (GPO, E-Rate, ERT, WSCA, State Contracts).
• Experience growing and retaining an existing Public Sector/Government centric account base.
• An understanding of corporate strategic initiatives
• Sales/ account management experience within a Public Sector sales environment at the Federal, State and/ or local level.
• Verifiable experience selling to and managing within industry verticals.
• Proficiency in negotiating, preparing, delivering, and following-up on solutions based proposals and quotes.
• Demonstrated success with strategic account and opportunity planning
• Demonstrated systems knowledge
• Proven ability within account base management, prospect planning and qualification
