Senior Trademark Counsel
at Qualcomm in California - San Diego
Job Function Experienced Trademark attorney to manage trademark group responsible for complex domestic and international Intellectual Property work including trademark preparation, prosecution, and oppositions, trademark licensing, trade dress, copyright matters, Internet and domain name issues, protection of digital rights, marketing and affiliate policies, as well as due diligence. Manage outside counsel. Provide education and pro-active counseling to the business units to minimize risks and enhance intellectual property protection.
Skills/Experience In-depth substantive legal knowledge about trademark law and a track record of managing intellectual property professionals. Must have at least eight years of experience as a practicing attorney. Experience in trademark litigation a plus. Must possess strong written and oral communication skills. Writing samples are required to be considered for this position. Please provide samples in your online resume.
Responsibilities A candidate's ability to manage individuals in a dynamic environment as well as participate in a strong team environment is indispensable to excel at this position
Education Requirements JD from an ABA approved law school and admission to a state bar. CA bar admission preferred. Top academic credentials are required. Multiple years working in the telecommunications industry is a plus.
