Application Layer Engineer
at M-Tel in Sofia, Bulgaria
The responsibilities:
> Keep the level of personal qualification available be corresponding to the requirements in telecommunication and information technologies sphere; > Install, upgrade and configure Integration Services, Interfaces and Software (i.e. Tibco services and adapters); > Administer, monitor and maintain Web and Application servers; > Take part in Web and Application Layer Design and architecture; > Manage and perform changes in Web and Application Servers when necessary; > Configure Web and Application servers into clusters for high availability and scalability; > Monitor and optimize the system performance; > Perform technical fault analysis and troubleshooting. > Keep in touch with suppliers to assure technical maintenance; > Ensure correctness of the data flows; > Provide technical support to internal clients, using particular interfaces and systems; > Maintain the core business systems in operation, within the required parameters (availability, performance). > Create and update documentation on supported systems and interfaces; > To execute also other tasks his direct manager gives him.
The requirements:
> > Masters Degree in Engineering or IT and/or relevant experience. > Knowledge in tendencies and conceptions of Integration Platforms like Tibco etc.; > Knowledge in tendencies and conceptions of Web and Application Layer; > Must possess excellent knowledge and expertise in J2EE technologies like JDBC, RMI, JMS, JNDI and JTA > Knowledge in Databases like Oracle or MS SQL Server > Knowledge in Programming languages like Java, SQL, XML, HTML, ASP, scripting languages etc. > Experience in administration and tuning of Integration Platforms like Tibco etc. > Fundamentals of working with UNIX/Linux systems > Able to manipulate with all relevant to the sector work systems and software; > English language – written and spoken > Flexible, pro-active approach and ability to work under pressure; > Managing and resolving priorities; > Ability to work as part of a team; > Prepared to maintain and enhance own personal and professional development; > Able to work under pressure and extended work time.
