full time Account Manager - Public Sector

at O2 in Slough, GB

Reporting into the Sales Manager you will have ultimate Account Management responsibility for your own portfolio of some of O2’s most prestigious and strategically important accounts that are both large and of high value.



Take overall responsibility for the accounts throughout their lifecycle with O2 and lead the creation and delivery of successful strategies that build long term, sustainable relationships.



Take full commercial responsibility of the accounts to maximise profit, revenue, base growth and tenure.



Increase and maintain customer satisfaction and to ensure that the individual needs of the customer are met.

Create Client Value.



Main Responsibilities



· To achieve targets and objectives as agreed with the Sales Manager.



· To engage with the customer at the most senior level in order to understand Key Business Drivers and Objectives.



· To identify the customer’s relevant directorate requirements, create, present and deliver an account development plan within first three months of ownership.



· To consult within the companies in order to deliver O2 solutions that meet the companies Key Business Drivers and Objectives.



· To manage all O2’s relationships within the company at all levels, engaging O2 executive sponsors where appropriate.



· To take full commercial responsibility for:



· Tariff reviews/resigns

· Maximising VAS penetration

· Maximising profitable base growth

· Minimising churn

· Joined Up Communications Development



· Pro-actively work with customer on an ongoing basis to work to re-sign customer before contract expiry. To co-ordinate all internal resources required to complete this successfully to prevent the customer going to tender if possible.



· To build and utilise fully a Virtual Support team including Customer Services, Service Relationship Manager, Technical Sales and all relevant parties in order to fully deliver agreed Service Levels.



· Log all customer information including key contacts, minutes of meetings and account development plan onto Salesforce.com at all times.



Key Skills & Experience



Key Criteria



· Strategic thinker with the ability to execute effectively.

· Demonstrably successful track record selling to the Public Sector, building and cultivating business critical relationships.

· New Business sales experience within Public Sector.

· Experience of Public Sector procurement methodologies including frameworks and OJEU process.

· Experience of creating and executing meaningful account development plans.

· Proven experience of meeting sales targets.

· Self-motivated.

· Excellent negotiator.

· Proven drive and tenacity.



Core Knowledge



· Commercial acumen.

· High level of market knowledge in all areas of fixed voice, mobile voice and data applications, being able to facilitate and implement bespoke applications.

· Analytical/innovative and creative.

· Presentation skills – PowerPoint/group presentation at Board Level.

· IT literate – MS Excel, MS Word, report creation.

· IT knowledge with convergence technologies.

· Products and services knowledge



Location: Homebased

Grade: PSG4

Salary: Circa £45000
