Scope

This role exists to manage vendor relationships in the Product Management Team whilst achieving World Class levels of product availability and supply quality. The position holder will be responsible for ensuring vendor performance is of the highest quality, supplying product in line with CPFR and VMI agreements whilst adhering to the Supply Chains Raison D’Etre.

Reporting into the Senior Product Manager, the position holder will be responsible for vendor specific Inventory & Stock availability targets. This will include specific stock turn KPI’s which requires key drivers to be understood, measured and managed affectively whilst collaborating affectively with our Vendors & Suppliers.

This person must have strong negotiating and relationship management skills to ensure that O2 gets the highest priority and service from its vendors.

The role can apply across any of O2’s product portfolio’s (Handset, Sims, Connected World, Accessories & BOM) and is intended to be rotated to develop skills, relationships and knowledge across the team



Responsibilities

Ownership of Stock Inventory & Availability for specific vendor(s). Control DC Inventory by ensuring purchases of stock within defined parameters through utilisation of CPFR/VMR principles and leveraging collaborative relationships with device vendors.

Through weekly Supply Planning Meeting, develop close relationships Supply Chain Product Managers and decide on consensus forecast and purchasing plan. Use CPFR Tools (Collaborative Planning, Forecasting and Replenishment) to communicate these plans with our vendors.

Responsibility for DC Slow Moving stock and Stock Depreciation targets along with Channel Managers. Reduce through ensuring that possible slow moving items are communicated in a timely fashion to our vendors and that Channel Managers are working with their related contacts to mitigate any future issues.

Understanding and monitoring of the Supply Chain Financial target relating to the QPB for DC Inventory. Ensure that any exceptions are highlighted and re-addressed if approved.

Produce Vendor Scorecards for use in Vendor Performance Reviews and strategic discussions.

Ensure O2 are getting the best level of service from its vendors. Support the Senior Product Manager by leading regular vendor performance and satisfaction reviews. Ensure specific and targeted plans are in place to resolve ongoing and new process/performance issues. Ensure O2 are prioritised for supply in times of launch and/or seasonal allocation.

Attend Product Selection meetings on behalf of the Inventory Team once per quarter. Rotate attendance within the Product Management team. Add value to launch decisions and drive for an optimum portfolio size, through suggesting withdrawal of products that are underperforming and do not support overall sales targets.

Monitor Returns & Repairs rates and ensure that these are highlighted in relation to CPFR processes

Support New Product Introduction (NPI) and New Vendor Introduction (NVI) into Supply Chain. As a result of Senior Product Management ownership of Supply Chain objectives and requirements, ensure that new product and new vendor launch requirements are achieved. Report the performance of any tangible commercial benefits (e.g. Volume Deals) to the Senior Product Manager.

Support Senior Product Manager by managing all related VMI & CPFR projects including Project Governance

Pragmatic approach and ability to deliver in a complex and agile environment

Good analytical and problem solving skills

Good presentation skills

Educated to Degree Level

Expert in MS Excel and PowerPoint,

Proficient in Project & Visio

£33000 - £38000 + bonus + life + private medical + pension
