The Professional Services delivery organization within Bell Business Markets, a division of Bell Canada, provides industry-leading network and information security related products and services across large and mid-size enterprise market verticals. Within the professional services delivery organization the Network Solutions Practice provides network design/planning solutions covering IP Network and Wireless Architecture, VoIP, IP Video, and optimization.
Job Duties/Accountabilities:
As a Senior Wireless Consultant you are a recognized expert in wireless network design and implementation; with a broader understanding of how a client’s wireless network integrates with their core network, security, wireless policies and mobile applications. The primary function of this position is to engage with the client’s senior IT and network primes to design, implement and configure WLAN solutions, addressing technical challenges in a professional manner while providing knowledge transfer, detailed technical documentation and guidance related to wireless design, support and maintenance.
The successful candidate will have exemplary communication skills and technical thought leadership. Previous client delivery experience provides a demonstrated ability to apply technical expertise to analyze, design, propose and implement complex solutions. As a strong team player, you will leverage your experience and leadership skills to collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team as a key contributor in a client centric approach to planning, designing and implementing WLAN Solutions following a structured methodology.
Your main responsibilities will be as follows:
Mandatory Experience
· 10 years of progressive experience designing and deploying Wireless LANs; including client experience with RFID, mobile computing, asset management, wireless application development and/or guest network access
· Professional Services consulting experience leading design/engineering, proof of concept, implementation, testing, customer training and on-site support.
* Industry-recognized WLAN certifications from major product manufacturers (Cisco, Aruba, Nortel/Avaya, Motorola, etc.) * Experience assessing and developing design recommendations for wireless networks, including controllers, access points and RF coverage * Experience with the development and implementation of wireless policies * Working knowledge with IP security and its interrelationship with network design· Proficient written and oral skills to produce and review design documentation, training documentation, and various customer-facing documents.
· Ability to work closely with the client and sales to establish business objectives, document statement of work and scope estimated delivery effort
* Participate in developing solutions for proposals at all levels of complexityPreferred Education and Experience
· Minimum Bachelors degree in computer science or related post secondary education
· Bilingual Preferred (French/English)
· Government of Canada – Secret (Level 2) Clearance
