Zone Leader - Access Network Operation Manager

Job duties / Accountabilities:
Reporting to the Manager – Wireless Access Network Operations, you will be responsible and accountable for network performance of a specific geographical area. Your job will be to manage, with the different team members of your area, respecting service and performance KPI’s (service, quality, budget, efficiency) and to deliver your respective projects portfolio.
His / her main tasks will include:
1. Take the appropriate and necessary actions to ensure delivery of the zone program.
2. Overall accountability to deliver all projects within zone.
3. Involve zone team in project prioritization/execution.
4. Foster team work, communication, and address conflict.
5. Ensure Zone Network performance – achieve and sustain targeted zone KPI’s.
6. Work with Transport, RF Planner & Regional Planner to determine the appropriate investment of capital in the Network.
7. Ensure proper resource capacity forecasting for all functional groups has been completed and monitored.
8. Identify and analyze risks and develop contingency measures with zone team.
9. Communicate project priorities to the zone team.
10. Discuss/modify project priorities with the client; manage stakeholder expectations.
Essential skills / Competencies:
- University degree in Business, Engineering or equivalent business experience.
- Knowledge of wireless network
- Intermediate level or advanced knowledge of MS Office software: Word, Excel, Access, etc.
- Self-sufficient and strong ability to adapt and promote changes.
- Ability to motivate others and promote team spirit and employee value.
- Strong business acumen and successful track record in aligning with customers (internal and external).
- Establish track record in the co-ordination of Cross Functional and Virtual teams.
- Strong business analysis and process skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
- Proven Project Management skills.
- Committed to operational excellence and continuous improvement.
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to relate to others and build rapport inside and outside the organization.
- Critical thinking skills with a demonstrated judgment to know relevant questions to ask and assemble the right individuals to provide responsive solutions.
- Good organizational and multi-tasking skills
- Strong sense of urgency and willingness to take initiative.
- Strong oral and written communication/presentation skills, including ability to produce professionally written analytical reports to varying audience levels
