Strategic Partner Manager

Accountability/Position Summary
Accountable for developing and fostering strong relationships with Property Management firms across Canada, working towards recruitment into the Value Added Partner (VAP) program, and co-marketing with Allstream to targeted buildings and tenants. Accountable to develop strong relationships with the Cdn IT/Telecom Consultant community, working towards educating this target audience on Allstream capabilities. This will include the recruitment of select consultants into the VAP program. Accountable to develop strong partnership within the construction / developer community to expand Allstream’s exposure during the procurement stage of IT/Telecom requirements for new buildings / facilities.
Key Responsibilities
• New Relationship Development with Canadian Property Managers
• Strategic Development and Marketing of Allstream Value Added Partner (VAP) program
• Recruitment of strategic partners into VAP program
• New Relationship Development with IT / Telco Consultant community
• Completion of the quarterly business plan reviews
• Increased sales and funnel activity through Partner programs
• Ability to recruit and ramp-up new partners including training
• Manage VAP funnel to exceed personal monthly booking and TBR quotas
• Work with VAP partners to drive sales performance and address performance issues with non-performing partners
• Business Planning with the CRM to ensure we manage our Business Partners to plan
• Acquisition Planning with VAP partners, to include promotions and spiffs to acquire new business
• Responsive for all related Acquisition activities, and accurate sales forecasting
Specific Functional/Technical Knowledge and Skills
• Knowledge and experience in selling through third parties
• Knowledge and experience in partner co-marketing programs
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to create an external team
• Strategic thinker, able to build internal/external relationships
• Strong business acumen skills
• Strong conflict management and negotiating skills
• Strong sales track record with acquisition focus
• Coaching and motivational skills to get the best performance out of individuals / group
• Ability to direct and manage individuals to performance results
• Ability to recruit and ramp-up new partners including training

• 3-5 years professional sales experience in telecommunications or related industry
• Knowledge & understanding of voice, data and internet products and services
• Experience in solution selling
