Fraud Analyst - Sprint Prepaid Group

Job Description Join the Sprint Prepaid Group as a Fraud Analyst and play a vital role in managing existing and potential fraudulent situations for the organization.
In this position you will participate in establishing and implementing policies and procedures designed to identify and deter fraudulent usage. You will have use of sophisticated data analysis to identify potential cases of fraud including cloning, tumbling, piggy-backing, and subscription. You will be responsible for notifying appropriate internal staff for customer verification or legal action and provide documentation to law enforcement agencies for prosecution, as well as daily interface with management, supply chain, retailers, Care, and customers.
This position will require you to monitor, analyze and assess critical risk of fraud through the exportation of data via in-house and external vendors. You must be able to work not only routine fraud alerts, but also think outside the box, detect new fraud trends and present detailed analysis of data on a regular basis. You should be able to quickly understand the gravity of a situation and alert management, if needed.
Special projects will include developing new reports and creating new system enhancements to better manage the workflow. This highly talented individual will get an opportunity to be mentored and will be expected to soon become a subject matter expert in the fraud processing alert engine and in-house data tools. Frequent customer interaction is also required, so phone skills must be top notch.
We require a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience and an expertise in MS Office applications, especially advanced Excel. An education or background in Criminal Justice or Accounting will be a plus.
Only those who can work independently AND as a team need apply. At times additional hours will need to be worked, so be prepared for some long days and some weekend work if the needs of the business so require.
