Chargeback Analyst - Sprint Prepaid Group
at Sprint Nextel in Warren, NEW JERSEY
Job Description In the role of Chargeback Analyst you will be required to process credit card chargebacks and related functions in a "card not present" merchant environment.
You will have primary responsibility for processing chargebacks - Visa/MC/American Express, PayPal, etc.
In addition to processing chargebacks: You will file/follow up and organize reversals. You will be expected to cross reference accounts and perform chargeback investigations in order to minimize loss. You will also champion Family/ Friendly fraud cases in pursuit of recoveries by dealing directly with our customers.Account suspensions/reinstatements and dispute resolution will also be part of your daily routine. You will contribute to implemetation of new business and business systems. Daily, weekly and monthly statistical, analytical and financial reporting is required.Other duties as assigned by management. Daily interface with a variety of internal and external contacts, including CARE/Call center, management, executive escalations, Fraud team, Merchant Services Representatives, etc. This person will also focus on bank reversal recoveries and prevent loss/secure recoveries by negotiating settlement with Family Fraud Customers.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of relevant experience
- Must be able to process chargebacks and cross reference accounts in a timely manner, to minimize loss. Candidates must be able to operate with a sense of urgency.
- Excellent negotiations and follow up skills. Ability to take control of a difficult situation and achieve solutions.
- Ability to operate independently or within a team.
- Strong analytical skills and proactive communications skills to relay important information to the proper parties to minimize company losses.
- Credit chargeback experience and Accounts Receivable (AR) reporting experience desired.
- Strong Excel and data analysis/statistical reporting experience.
