Technical Support Representative
at Sprint Nextel in Las Vegas, Nevada
Job Description As a Technical Support Representative you will provide inbound telephone support for customers by basic and advanced troubleshooting, investigating and resolving customer questions and problems with Sprint's products and services with an objective of one call resolution. You will be expected to provide empathetic, courteous, quality customer service in an accurate and timely manner in accordance with Sprint protocols as well as maintaining a positive, problem-solving approach in the spirit of cooperation in the team environment. Clear communication via phone and e-mail using proper spelling and grammar to proactively resolve customer issues is imperative. Some of the issues you may encounter include the usage of features of all handset models, network coverage and technical issues, data services, troubleshooting computer internet connections with Sprint devices and installing Sprint software.
Additional responsibilities include:
• Logging and tracking calls in a computer database, and maintaining history records and related problem documentation
• Researching, documenting, and proposing new methods or modifications to existing methods of customer support processes
• Managing workload effectively and providing accurate accounting of work and time allocation
• Reporting on variances as necessary
Preferred qualifications include:
• Successful completion of a drug and background investigation
• Successful completion of the Customer Service Tech Support assessment
• Call activity for this position may be monitored for quality assurance.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule nights and weekends
Basic qualifications include:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Two years related work experience in a customer service/technical environment
• Record of successful outcomes while troubleshooting problems with computer hardware, mobile phone or other electronic devices
• Demonstrated Customer Service skills including the ability to understand and resolve the customer's challenge in a friendly, efficient and professional manner
• Proven multi-tasking skills, including the ability to simultaneously listening on the telephone, understand a technical question and resolve the technical challenge while working in an advanced computer system
• Availability to work in an environment requiring strict attendance
Twelve (12) months of customer service experience in a technical environment or six (6) months of customer service experience in a technical environment and six (6) months of call center experience
