Data Product Marketing Manager
Maternity Cover - 8 month contract
Purpose
- This key role is responsible for developing and delivering our big screen (Mobile Broadband) and small screen (Mobile Internet) strategy.
- Manage all data products within the Meteor portfolio.
- Achieve all relevant revenue and base targets for data products.
- Become the company advocate for data products and lead internally
- This role reports to the Head of Product Marketing
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve revenue targets in total for data as a % of revenue and also for individual product lines.
- Achieve base and revenue targets for Mobile broadband offering
- Development and implementation of data product marketing strategy with particular focus on 3G services & plans to include product lifecycle management & development.
- Day to day management of all data products including Mobile Broadband, Mobile Internet, email services and MMS
- Analyse Broadband marketing in Ireland and apply best practice to Meteors offering to ensure it is competitive versus other mobile broadband providers, fixed line and wireless offerings
- Benchmark best practice Mobile internet offerings in Ireland and across Europe with the purpose of developing a best in class product offering to our customers
- Work together with the advanced product development team and technology teams in identifying and developing new data and 3G offerings. Secure the required approval, and work across functions to deliver new products to market.
- Manage internal relationships in sales and marketing department to ensure that the appropriate level of support and resource allocation is negotiated to ensure the successful introductions to market of all new initiatives.
- Work with the marketing insights team and the MIS teams to gain an in depth knowledge of your customers so as to best inform your decision making process for new product launches and management of existing service.
- Working the with above the line and Below the line marketing communications teams in developing a campaign roadmap for broadband and mobile internet services
- Develop a detailed monthly reporting pack for the data product area
- Accountable for data product marketing forecasting, planning, recruitment, development and management of the data product marketing team.
- Lead and motivate the data product marketing team to deliver maximum results and revenue
Profile
- Self-starter with high level of energy and self-motivation. Focused on delivering result.
- Experience in the management of data and broadband products an advantage
- Very strong analytical skills, with experience of developing business cases.
- Previous people management experience.
- First class product management skills with knowledge and experience of using established product marketing processes.
- Excellent cross functional team building, influencing and implementation skills.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Experienced marketing professional with solid understanding of consumer proposition development.
- Sound commercial and technical knowledge of telecommunications industry.
- Intuitive business acumen, and strong analytically.
- Superior verbal and written communications skills
- Superior presentation skills
- Understanding of market research, pricing, distribution, product development, and commercialization of products.
- Ability to work well in team environments
- Strong interpersonal skills
Qualifications:
- Must have a minimum of 5 years marketing experience, with a minimum of 3 years in a telecommunications or IT environment.
- Previous people management experience.
- Marketing/Business degree
