Essence of Role
Business Partnering
• Provide professional HR guidance to the VS organisation and act as single point of contact for the Vodafone Services Director for all people related issues. Build influential and mutually respectful relationships with VS customers. Work with line managers to develop business articulation and co-ownership of the people strategy and activities.
• Actively lead the development of the VS People Plan to ensure internet savvy and consistent people practices across the function.
• Develop relationships with HR Centres of Expertise to provide pro-active and consistent HR support to the business. Work closely with representatives of Centres of Expertise to develop their understanding of VS activity and issues, ensuring output meets operational needs and timescales.

People Planning
• Manage project and implementation plans that ensure delivery of the People Plan. Manage project teams to ensure targets and milestones are delivered as per the plan.

Operational delivery
• Be passionate about the mobile internet and the organisation and capability we are building in VS.
• Drive delivery. Meet and exceed business requirements by demonstrating judgment, flexibility and tenacity in a dynamic and challenging environment.
• Provide tactical HR expertise, advice and guidance to customers on the full range of people issues that impact the organisation.
• Drive the attraction and selection of next generation internet talent into the organisation.
• Ensure that we have an effective talent pipeline and that we are developing the talent we have within the organisation.
• Manage local employment relations issues.
• Effectively implement people processes including Performance Dialogue, Annual Salary Review, Development Board and Talent Reviews, People Survey.
• Work in partnership with AskHR (HR Services) to respond to queries where a specific functional knowledge is required or as a point of escalation.
• Work in partnership with the Organisation & Change team to deliver people impacting business change programmes.

Organisational Capability
• Influence senior stakeholders to diagnose, plan and implement organisational capability development activities, facilitating the provision of tools and knowledge to enable this.
• Continue to enhance the leadership capability of customers, providing coaching and development.
• Demonstrate outstanding communication and relationship management with customers, external suppliers and the wider HR team.
