Essence of Role
1. Internal communications for Group Functions
• Enable effective communication across Group Functions – ensuring the right messages reach appropriate target audiences via the right channels in a timely manner
• Delivery of the Group Functions internal communications plans
• Manage Group communication channels
• Enable leaders and managers to be effective and responsible communicators
• Design and deliver/facilitate the delivery of ad hoc communications plans to all Group employees
• Provide communication consultancy for Group Functions when required

2. Support The Vodafone Way
• Build awareness and understanding of the Vodafone Way in Group Functions
• Facilitate change in line with The Vodafone Way across Group
• Work with The Vodafone Way change leads in Group Technology , Group Marketing and Corporate Functions to ensure a consistent, co-ordinated approach across Group Functions
• Communicate tactics and initiatives in support of The Vodafone Way

3. Manage Budget
• Manage budgets as needed

4. Managing External Suppliers
• Manage external suppliers as needed to deliver on brand, on time and on budget

• Understanding and experience in a broad range of communications disciplines
• Commercially sound and fluent, with experience in developing communications strategies which can meet challenging timings, identifying gaps and taking corrective action where required.
