Impact on the business
• Provides technical review for functional and technical specifications for HR systems
• Provides technical review for functional and technical specifications for non-HR Systems
• Validates and where necessary escalates technical issues to software suppliers. Manages resolution of escalated issues with suppliers.
• Identifies and executes the required processes to improve the overall team productivity
• As subject matter expert, functions as top-level technical contributor.
• Oversees major projects (e.g. software upgrades, interface development) ensuring the compliance requirements.
• Provides leadership for planning, development, implementation and documentation of system changes that require multiple resources.
• Performs relevant knowledge transfer to Systems Team and contributes to best practice knowledge base.
• Performs system analysis, develops, designs and recommends solutions and strategies for technical solutions based on the analysis of customer business goals, objectives, needs and existing systems infrastructure.
• Provides technical leadership for own area of responsibility.
• Defines, develops, QA, and implements data migration and data synchronization utilities. Supports customers with their QA plan, test scripts and integration with third party applications, etc.
• Works with internal groups to define, deliver, and assist with post-implementation issues.
• Works with Project Manager and customer to define and document customer requirements and works with suppliers to convert requirements into detailed functional specification documents.
• Verifies that system meets performance criteria, works with relevant teams to resolve issues.
• Conducts business requirement analyses and gap analyses
• Manages small scale projects independently and manages individual budget and scope of work.
• Ensuring that applications meet customer and business needs from a functional, technical and service perspective.
• Actively support for troubleshooting and proposals for process and service improvements handling of escalations
• Running of projects for introducing new releases in time and budget
• Coordination and agreement with Stakeholders (Demand, operations, development) on the release scope and timeline ensuring high quality and efficient application provisioning
• Any other duties which may be assigned or necessary

• BSc / BA in computer related field or five years equivalent experience required
• previous experience in a Consultant / Technical role for medium to large scale projects.
• Project Management (Six-Sigma, Prince 2 or PMP) and Programme Management skills
• Basic knowledge of some or all of the following areas: SQL (T-SQL, PL/SQL), Web Services, VB, Javascript, ASP, UML, XML, Crystal Reports 9, SQL Server, Oracle 8.x, 9.x, IIS, firewalls, proxies, SMTP, and general Windows OS, network security and exposure to source control systems.
• Basic knowledge of some or all of the following areas: SAP architecture, Service-orientated architecture, XI and Informatica, ITIL, SoX and COBIT
