We are currently accepting resumes for a 24 month term position of Change Management Consultant position located in Whitehorse, YT



Reporting to the AVP Human Resources this position will support change management programs, business partners, project team leads, process analysts, HR and impacted employees in the development, implementation and measurement of change strategies and change management programs, including:

· Participating in business impact assessments to identify changes to stakeholder processes and technology

· Supporting work related to organizational and job design, as well as employee role definition

· Engaging stakeholders in the support and delivery of projects

· Involvement in communicating with, and preparing employees for changes, and building commitment organizationally and individually

· Work related to defining training and user support programs that educate and “skill-up” employees



SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES


Primary responsibilities are to provide support in the development, delivery and measurement of change management deliverables to ensure business readiness across the company. In collaboration with others, the Change Management Consultant will:



1. Assist in the identification of all process and technology changes, business impact and organization change management implications.



2. Assist in the delivery of stakeholder engagement and communications activities to promote awareness, information and engagement within the business.



3. Support the development and implementation of Transition Knowledge Transition programs to ensure sustainability of new skills/roles.



4. Assist in defining roles, jobs and organization changes that are required to support the future state business capability. Work in partnership with the Manager Industrial Relations & Compensation as well as the IBEW Business Manager to understand and resolve potential changes impacting the unionized workforce.



5. Develop training and end-user support materials, in partnership with subject matter experts, including class room materials, online support materials, job aids & quick reference guides.



6. Consult with the different business units on an ongoing basis to implement the change management approaches and plans.



7. Create a change management sustainability model to help sustain knowledge and practices in the core roles within the company.





KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED



The incumbent will have experience with large process and technological change initiatives and understand how employees are impacted by change from a system and human perspective.



· Post Secondary Education in Business, management, or behavioral sciences.

· 5 years of experience in a change management role for large transformational projects, such as ERP implementations, mergers & acquisitions, shared services implementations

· Change Management experience in Communications, Training & Education, Organization and Job Design, Stakeholder Management as well as Business Readiness and Monitoring

· Experience in technology or telecommunications industries an asset

· Strong communication and influencing skills

· Ability to build strong working relationships with internal partners

· A strong strategic orientation and high level of business and people acumen

· Ability to deal with ambiguity and fast-paced work environment

· Advanced MS Project, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint skills
