Job Description
Analyze complex internal business problems for automated systems solutions. Formulate and define system scope and objectives, identifying, evaluating and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet business requirements. Develop detailed solutions designs to meet customer objectives. Lead the interpretation of designs for business and developers. Function as technical expert in presentations, demonstrations and lead all phases of customer interaction including analysis and design implementation and represent customer’s interest at technical meetings within the company. Serve as subject matter expert in Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) group, guiding accurate and cost effective detailed designs. Participate in review and approval of detailed design documents created by other team members. Use expert level knowledge of Amdocs Billing System to translate business elements to data elements and organization of data in Oracle Database. Participate in software architecture analysis to identify system bottlenecks, configuration and networking issues and for enhancements determining new or adapted software and hardware that would best fit proposed software solutions. Work on migration of legacy systems from older Architectures and systems to state of art new technologies to align with Sprint vision of future state Service Oriented Architecture. Reverse engineer older systems to develop detailed design specifications.

Requires Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related field plus 8 years experience in systems design and implementation. Experience should include 5 years experience with distributed application architecture, enterprise application integration (EAI) and technical architectures, especially high volume, OLTP, message-based, N-tier architectures; and 2 years experience working with IBM WebSphere Message Broker, IBM WebSphere InterChange Server, and IBM WebSphere DataPower SOA Appliance. Working knowledge of an approved SDLC methodology to develop application solutions, architecture development processes and architectural description approaches (e.g., RM-ODP). Experience using Use Cases, Sequence Diagrams, and Class diagrams, and proven experience in developing standards and designing/developing standard architecture frameworks which are high performance, practical, stable, maintainable and supportable; experience with Message-oriented Middleware, Distributed Object Communication, Distributed Transaction Processing, and Relational Database (e.g., MQ Series, CORBA, EJB, JMS, J2EE, Oracle). Technical competence in all phases of application programming and have knowledge; recent experience working with current programming languages (e.g., C, C++, or Java) and application software development techniques used in a UNIX client/server environment. Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
